As the summer offseason comes to a halt, a couple teams got some very important commitments, long-term, for some highly profiled players.

Thursday, July 31st
Mikal Bridges signed a 4-year $150 million extension with the Knicks. He did take a small pay-cut in order to keep the Knicks under the second apron and have some flexibility to make other moves in the future.
Friday, August 1st
Johnny Juzang signed a 1-year deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves
Rickey Council IV signed a 1-year deal with the Brooklyn Nets.
Saturday, August 2nd
Luka Doncic signed a 3-year $165 million extension to stay with the Los Angeles Lakers. The deal includes a player option on the final year in 2028-2029. Doncic will have the chance to sign a 5-yar $417 million extension during that free agency period due to having 10 years of service in the NBA. The deal will help him recoup some money he lost after being traded to the Lakers on February 2nd this past season. The Doncic signing was at the top of the Lakers priority this offseason and gives the franchise a long-term cornerstone to build off of for the next couple of seasons.
